The production process of PCD cutting tools begins with the tool body, which is made from carbide and/or steel. The PCD plate is then cut to the size of the cutting edge and welded onto the body. The shape of the cutting edge on the PCD cutting tool can be created using grinding, Wire/Disc EDM, or laser processes.
